The hotel is soooooo near the airport which is a plus plus plus point. You can just walk from the hotel to the airport and to the rental car pickup points.

Totally fine airport hotel. Comfy bed and good shower!

A warm welcome. Small room for twin beds but bathroom was a good size with interesting shower.
We arrived late and left very early. We appreciated the 5am ride to the airport which was too far (for me) to walk with luggage.

Everyone I came in contact with at the airport spoke English - a big plus for me as I don't speak Icelandic. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful to me. I had fish and chips from one of the restaurants and it was very good. There is a "Meeting Point" where I was told to go upon arriving at the airport and someone came and got me from there for wheelchair assistance, Very efficient. Unfortunately, there was a gate change for my aircraft and the wheelchair people didn't get the message so I had to push my chair - using it like a walker - and when the gate agent saw me, he was upset that I didn't have someone pushing me. He set me down and pushed me himself.

The town is situated near to the airport.
The town is situated near to the airport. We had spent the afternoon exploring the peninsula there, going right to the tip. There are two lighthouses there and a local history museum. (Free admission at time of visit). It was worth the visit. There is also a restaurant attached.
In the town, there is a main street with a number of shops/bars/restaurants, along with a supermarket. There is also a promenade for strolling along.

Keflavik is easily overlooked by many whom just go straight to the capital but honestly its such a nice little town, there's enough to see and do to last a decent amount of time and in comparison at least for me was more fun to explore than the capital!

Did not travel to Keflavik, we were there at the airport for a stopover. Thought we could tour a little as we had 10 hours but the cost of the bus fare and taxi was very expensive and for a family of four we decided to stay put. The flights are cheap but everything else, if you are on a budget prepare yourself to spend a lot of money on food and transportation. Very clean place, their tap water is amazing, air is clean. Would love to go back to explore but will have to save a lot to be able to fully enjoy Iceland.

Good location near the airport.
Good location near the airport. We moved here the day before our early morning flight. The friendly lady in reception stored our bags and called a taxi to bring us to Blue Lagoon. We learned that the hotel had a special deal with taxis so we booked the same taxi to bring us back, which gave us a bit of a discount. We took their free airport shuttle very early the next morning. The driver who was also in charge of reception was nice and friendly too.

Don't arrive after 2200hrs.
Don't arrive after 2200hrs. You won't get the room you've paid for. Don't rely on information from staff. They give you inaccurate advice re buses etc. The hotel is a 55km bus ride from Reykjavik - a once hourly service - or a $200 taxi ride each way. There is not even a vending machine to buy a softdrink, crisps etc. This place is an expensive bed and a shower and a 6km (aka AUD$59) taxi ride from the airport. Dont waste your money!
Very nice property overlooking the small marina of Keflavik. It is ideal to stay here if you have an early-morning flight from Keflavik Airport, as it is located only about a 10-minute drive from the airport. The rooms are very comfy, clean and beautifully designed. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful and the hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport as well as a small take-away breakfast if you need to leave very early for your flight. We highly recommend Hotel Berg.
No breakfast was provided. Great bakery 3 minute drive away. Ludvik is an excellent host. Very easy to communicate with and timely. His restaurant suggestions were spot on, and delicious. 19 minute drive to Blue Lagoon. 30 minutes to active volcano and only 5 minutes from airport. Place was extremely clean. If you plan on using this as a base to explore Iceland as the kitchen is perfect for making your own meals (everything you need).
The proximity to the airport is great, ideal if your flight is early in the morning. Our room was on the first floor (marked as 2nd floor as the hotel using American way of numbering), it was spacious and comfortable. I was concerned at first about the noise as it was on the same floor as the restaurant/breakfast room but room was actually quiet. We arrived late and left early for our flight so we didn't get a chance to use any facilities.
Excellent place to stay before an early morning flight. I now recommend this place to all my family when they come to stay in Iceland. The early breakfast and airport shuttle are very convenient, and the place was perfectly located for easy quick access to the airport. The restaurant attached made delicious food for dinner (though not cheap). We got here via the local bus from Reykjavik and walked the 5 minutes or so from the bus stop.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed spending time talking with them. A beautifully appointed and clean hotel in a great location just minutes from the airport. A great big hot tub on the roof deck was a nice way to relax on a cold winter night. Very good food at the restaurant. This hotel also has a free shuttle service from the hotel to the airport. Very useful.
Very simple hotel with no elevator. I got great views across the bay and only stayed for 1 night as I had an early flight to catch from Keflavik airport. The hotel is close to good restaurants and bars. Use trip advisor to find them as they don't look like much from the outside but are surprising inside. The owner shuttled me to the airport at 5am which is a real bonus.
Breakfast offerings included a wide variety of fruits, yogurts, cereals, eggs, bacon, etc. Excellent compared to other hotels in Iceland. Our room had lots of windows which provided an airy feeling. The bed was delightful and we slept quite well! Staff was friendly and the hotel offered restaurants, workout rooms, sauna, solarium, and a full bar.
The continental breakfast was great with plenty of vegan options including plant-based milk for coffee. Self check-in was very easy and communication from hotel staff over email was prompt. Location was great- right near the water and walking distances to lots of shops and restaurants. Hotel shuttle is a taxi service which was very easy to use.
Keflavik is a sleepy fishing port 6km from the main airport. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the airport. The room was nice and modern. The main restaurant, in the form of a library theme, served delicious meals. Breakfast offered a wide choice of hot and cold food. Service was friendly and helpful. We felt welcomed.
2 minute walk from the airport and from the car rental drop off point.
We arrived at night, dropped off our car, came back on foot and had dinner at the hotel restaurant (huge portions, sharply priced).
Rooms are very quiet.
In the morning we checked in first at the airport and then came back to the hotel to have breakfast.
Location is unbeatable, at 100m walking from the terminal of Keflavik airport. The hotel is also directly across the major car rentals, so it is very convenient to combine the car drop-off with an overnight stay in the hotel. Breakfast was served as early as 4h30 (which was also necessary for our early flight).
A very nice room and nice shared bathroom. Breakfast for the morning. Tea and coffee and water always available. Very good location, there is a cheap store and restaurants and a library near the guesthouse.
We really enjoyed our stay, thank you !
We were dropped off at the airport for our very early flight
Staff was incredible, room was clean and pit together nicely, simple breakfast but was very good and fresh, loved the location, attached restaurant had very good food and was convenient. Hotel took reservation for you and you got a beautiful table over looking the bay.
This is a charming little hotel near the Keflavik Airport. We really felt like home here and all the little details like bathrobes, coffee and cookies in the common room, hot tub, airport shuttle made our stay perfect.
Thank you so much, Agata and Reynir!
We used the hotel for one night to be near the airport. The restaurant was very good. Check in staff were very efficient. If we had planned better, we would have gone to Blue Lagoon from there rather than Reykjavik.
Easy access to the airport was the main benefit. We've stayed there before and the hotel and staff renewed our love of this hotel: parking options, great breakfast and really nice view from our room!
Nice hotel near Keflavik airport. Reception is not open 24 hours so if you are coming late room key will wait you at the reception desk - functioning fine. Breakfast is self service.
